Limited Assistance Representation Packages

Experience peace of mind at attractive price points with our fixed fee limited assistance packages.

Limited Assistance Representation (LAR) is also known as unbundled legal services. It differs from the traditional lawyer-client engagement where you hire a lawyer to handle all aspects of your legal matter. It is important that you understand the differences between LAR and traditional legal representation here in Massachusetts, so please take a moment and review our main LAR page here.

These packages all fall under this larger umbrella of Limited Assistance Representation (LAR), also referred to unbundled legal services. LAR is also available on an hourly basis, in addition to the sample flat-fee packages below.

All services are performed by our own experienced Massachusetts divorce and family law attorneys at Next Phase Legal LLC, an actual law firm with our main office in Medfield, MA.

What Am I Getting?

LAR means you maintain responsibility for your case, while you outsource specific tasks to us.  If you want other services, or want us to create a custom package for you, we can discuss everything during your initial consultation. Later, if you find you need more help, then you let us know and we can complete an additional client agreement to cover these things.  You may decide that this legal stuff is more complicated than you thought, or perhaps new issues come up in your case, and we can have a conversation about representing you in the traditional sense, meaning we handle your entire case.

The Pre-trial Conference is one of the most important events in any Massachusetts divorce or modification case.  Many cases conclude through negotiations on this date, after receiving feedback form the Court.  Preparation is key for a successful Pre-trial Conference, and a detailed pre-trial memorandum must be drafted in advance of the hearing.  This package includes the drafting of your pre-trial memo.

Package 5

Document Review: Pricing starts at $50.00.

Are you drafting your own forms or documents for your Massachusetts divorce or other family law case, but would feel better having a lawyer look them over?   Problem solved.

We will review your completed documents and provide suggestions and feedback to you so you can get your legal documents in good shape.   Some legal documents are more involved than others, so prices vary based upon what you would like us to review.  For example, a long-form court financial form is more involved than a Complaint for Divorce. Perhaps you want us to review your entire package of documents for your divorce filing?  Please fill out the LAR contact form and we will provide you with a custom quote.

If you decide that you want us to draft documents for you on a limited assistance basis, just let us know and we can discuss your specific needs and budget.
