Discover Medfield Day 2014!
Medfield Day Details
The 2014 Medfield Day is Saturday, September 20th. The Festivities kick off at 9:00 a.m. and run throughout the day until 3:00 pm, although the children’s area remains open until 4 p.m. This year marks the 35th Medfield Day!
Medfield Day is held on North Street and winds around onto Frairy St, right at Meetinghouse Pond.
Activities and Family Fun
Throughout the day, there will be plenty of family fun including demonstrations, musical entertainment, silent auction, and food of course. You can visit local companies, organizations, clubs, and artisans at over 100 booths. There is a large area for kids to enjoy fun activities, including large inflatables to play upon.
At Next Phase Legal, we decided not to have a booth because people may be hesitant to visit our booth since one of our main focus areas is family law and divorce. Not necessarily the biggest draw most likely. Instead, we are sponsoring one of the large inflatable slides for the kids to enjoy. I will also be helping with the set up on Friday night and volunteering on Saturday.
If there is severe weather, the event is rescheduled to September 27th, but let’s hope that does not happen.
Organizing such an event takes a lot of work and volunteers. Several years ago, I chaired the Norfolk Lions Community Day, which is held in the spring. The amount of planning that goes into such an event is extensive. Thus, if you should see Russ Hallisey running around, thank him for his efforts and for running this event for Medfield once again.
So, come on down Saturday, September 20, 2014, and say hello to your local business owners and their representatives, meet some of your new (and old) Medfield neighbors, and have some fun at Medfield Day!
